- Working Hours: Minimum 9 Hours per day (including 1-hour meal break)
- 2+ years’ full-time exp, preferably in venue/event mgt in performing arts venues
Job requirements:
- Degree holder or equivalent (major in Arts / Cultural & Heritage / Communications is an advantage)
- Level 2/Grade E or above in Chinese and English Language in HKDSE or HKCE, or equivalent
- At least 2 years’ post-qualification full-time work experience (less work experience will also be considered if there is relevant experience in the field of operational/venue/event management in the arts performance, entertainment or event-organising business or at government/cultural organisations, particularly at LCSD performing arts venues)
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, fluent Cantonese
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word processing
Responsibilities:
- To liaise with hirers on performance arrangements and booking requirements
- To coordinate with technical sections and Front of House to provide the required facilities and services for each booking, and ensure compliance with house rules and statutory obligations
- To keep track of the changes of events, process the related paperwork and issue operational instructions to all relevant teams
- To serve as Duty Manager to ensure the smooth running of daily venue operations including overseeing the running of performances, audience admission of auditorium and activities in minor venues, and handling public enquiries, complaints and emergency situations
- To enforce all regulations and house rules of the venue
- To serve as subject officer to liaise with hirers on arrangements for exhibitions held at Exhibition Gallery
- To provide administrative support to the Booking Section and assist in compiling venue booking statistics as well as processing rental refund
