- 5 yrs experience in English editorial with 1 yr Culture/ Media/ Film related
- 9:30 – 6:30 (Mon to Fri) ; 5 Days work a week
Job requirements:
- Degree holders in English Language, Translation or related disciplines;
- At least 5 years’ experience in English editorial and/or Chinese to English translation work; in which at least 1 year of Culture/ Media/Film related working experience in English editorial/ translation is required;
- Good knowledge of Hong Kong cinema and experience in English Editorial/ translation for academic papers;
- Excellent command of written and spoken English & good command of Chinese
- Experience in managing graphic design and production requirements and the ability to follow through the entire procedure for production of books
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint and English & Chinese typing
Responsibilities:
- To edit the English texts publications including fact-checking and research;
- To write up English texts for publications
- To translate articles mainly from Chinese to English
- To proofread English articles contributed by freelance writers and translators engaged
- To compile and manage the English databases for the information on Hong Kong films
- To support the production of all publications and assist in all matters related to editorial works
