Job requirements:
- Degree holder in Conservation/ Applied Chemistry/ Chemistry/ Material Science/ Material Engineering or equivalent;
- English Language: Level 5 or above in DSE OR Grade C or above in HKAL, and
- Chinese Language: Level 4 or above in DSE OR Grade D or above in HKAL;
- OR CRE – Use of English – Level 2 and Chinese – Level 1;
- At least 1 year full time working experience; work experience in the field of art/ cultural heritage conservation and operating analytical equipment is preferred;
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Chinese Word Processing; and
- Good command of Chinese and English;
Responsibilities:
- To assist in conducting scientific research and studies on museum collections, heritage and conservation materials, preservation and conservation methodologies, environment in museums and collection stores
- To assist in conducting research for exhibitions and condition checking on the exhibits in the exhibition halls and/or in collection stores
- To provide research and conservation services as required and prepare the associated reports
- To assist with the organization of educational and extension programmes
- To perform any duties as assigned by the supervisors
