Job requirements:
- Diploma or High Cert. in Management Studies, Natural Science or a related subject
- WITH HKCEE or HKDSEE – Chinese Language and English Level 2 or above ;
- and Certified Arborist, Certified Arborist Utility Specialist, Certified Arborist Municipal Specialist or Board Certified Master Arborist, or above qualifications of International Society of Arboriculture; or Accredited Arborist or above qualifications of the Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects; or equivalent
Responsibilities:
- Provided is mainly deployed to perform duties relating to vegetation management / maintenance works for slopes and other vegetation under HyD purview Including but not limited to :
- To assist in preparing field works relating to the vegetation maintenance works
- To check the quality of new planting works, including focal point planting throughout the territories and the Penny’s Bay, Tseung Kwan O, new planting works;
- To audit check the Tree Risk Assessment Forms submitted by the contractor to upkeep the quality of the Form
- To conduct necessary Tree Risk Assessment as instructed by supervisor;
- To assist Landscape Architects to vet Tree Preservation and Removal Proposal submitted to Landscape Division of HyD, including on site checking / auditing
- To assist Landscape Architects to implement, monitor and provide expert advices on the implementation of Brown Root Rot Disease Study and site works;
- To assist the Landscape Architects on the inspection of problematic trees, provide advices on tree removal application prepared by the contractors;
- To provide technical support of the daily operations of the vegetation maintenance work including new planting;
- To perform any other duties as assigned by Landscape Architects
