Job requirements:

  • Degree holder in Arts / Cultural Studies / Social Studies /Communications / Public Relations / Hospitality or related fields or equivalent
  • At least 4 years’ full-time post-qualification working experience in the field of performing arts / facility and venue management / entertainment business / project planning or related fields or equivalent, including at least 1 year’s full-time working experience in the LCSD or other government bureaux/departments
  • Knowledge in understanding of floor plans, building plans and electrical plans is preferred
  • Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word processing
  • Good knowledge of design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • To act as duty manager, monitoring the smooth running of daily operations and programmes, and handling complaints and emergency situations
  • To serve as subject officer for programmes of external hirers and Programme Team; communicating with various stakeholders, including but not limited to the Front of House and Stage Management Team, to ensure the smooth execution of events held at the venue
  • To conduct research on venue management and local and overseas performing arts scene, including but not limited to application of technology in visitor experience management, etc.
  • To assist the Manager in the procuring technological systems for the venue, including but not limited to digital displays, video walls, content management systems, etc.; to liaise with potential services providers and goods suppliers
  • To assist the Manager in developing plans for venue logistics, including but not limited to the grand opening, seating arrangements, signage, routes for persons with disabilities (PWD), and emergency drills, etc.
  • To assist in the study of Barrier Free Access (BFA) guidelines and prepare relevant documents for BFA facilities
  • To conduct research on operations of performing venues in Hong Kong and relevant policy
  • To assist in the devising of management guidelines and operation manual
  • To perform any other duties assigned by senior officers
