Job requirements:
- Degree holder in Film/ Television Studies, Media/ Communication Studies, Fine Arts, Design, Cultural Studies, Humanities, or equivalent
- WITH CRE – English Level 2 and Chinese Level 1 OR DSE – Chinese Level 4 and English Level 5
- At least 1 year of full time working experience preferably in film or culture-related fields
- Proven experience in conducting research is preferable
- Good knowledge of computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word-processing
- Good knowledge of Photoshop/Illustrator, Final Cut Pro X/ Adobe Premiere is an advantage
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluency in Putonghua is an advantage
Position 1
Responsibilities:
- To conduct research on collections acquired by the museum or loaned by third party for the exhibitions from AV and non-AV materials, oral history transcripts, books, internet and past exhibition records etc.
- To research exhibition concept, including presentation method, interior design, interactive installation and online platform, by comparing similar exhibitions according to the research results
- To select films and images to be reproduced and used for the screening based on research results
- To write or edit blurbs and online feeds for the screening programme according to the research results
Responsibilities:
Position 2
- To conduct research and fact checking for the monograph on Hong Kong Literature and Films to ensure the accuracy of the texts, including consolidating relevant information from various materials such as newspapers, magazines and other relevant documentation
- To compile glossaries based on the research materials
- To conduct photo research and collect illustrations for the monograph
- To write photo captions based on research results
- To assist in the promotion activities for the monograph
- To compile and update list of relevant collection materials for the Hong Kong Filmography Series
