Library Programme Assistant(HKSAR; MongKok)

  • Monday to Friday Normal working hour
  • HKCE/HKDSE – Level 3/ Grade C or above in Chinese Language and English or equivalent
  • At least 1 yr. post-qualification full time working experience

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a Hong Kong University or equivalent
  • Level 3/ Grade C or above in Chinese Language and English in HKDSE/HKCE or equivalent
  • At least one year post-qualification full time working experience. Working experience in event management will be advantage
  • Fluent in Cantonese, English and preferably Putonghua
  • Proficiency in using MS Word, MS Excel and Chinese Word-processing

Responsibilities:

  • To assist in liaison, planning, coordination, implementation and review of library programme, including but not limited to reading activities and outreach programmes
  • To assist in designing and organising fun-filled and interactive activities suitable for people of different ages, generations and ethnicities
  • To liaise and coordinate with branch libraries, community libraries, the education sectors, cultural and youth organisations, NGOs and commercial bodies, etc. for organising reading promotion activities and outreach programmes
  • To assist with procurement, contact management and performance monitoring matters of service contracts for reading promotion projects
  • To draft details and provide input to the design and production of promotional materials and activities, to liaise with contractor, to monitor the production, delivery and distribution of publicity materials
  • To handle staff management matters, such as drafting and controlling the duties and work schedules of supporting staff, to provide coaching and training, to monitor staff performance, etc.
  • To perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers
