Customer Service (HKSAR; SaiWanHo)

Job requirements:

  • F.6 or above
  • Fluent in Cantonese, English and Putonghua
  • At least two year full time working experience in customer service, including one year working experience in customer service particularly in museums
  • Knowledge in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
  • Proficiency in Chinese and English data entry is a must

Responsibilities:

  • To provide counter services of the Resources Centre such as answering factual reference enquiries, handling booking of Resource Centre facilities and closed stack materials, retrieving materials from closed stack collection, handling loan-in and loan-out of collection items
  • To attend to users on the use of audiovisual equipment, online information searching and retrieval, as well as requests for viewing or reproduction of archive materials, keep statistics of the usage of reference materials and all services provided by the Resource Centre
  • To perform the opening and closing routine of the Resource Centre, such as shelving magazines and books, conducting shelf reading, and checking all facilities in order
  • To maintain tidiness, order and discipline in the Resource Centre; and
  • To perform other duties related to the Resource Centre as assigned by the supervisors
