Project Planning Assistant (HKSAR; Kowloon)

  • Normal Working Hour 9:30am – 6:30pm; Mon to Fri
  • CRE is acceptable
  • 3 yrs. exp. in managing/ coordinating construction-related project

Job requirements:

  • Degree holder in Project Management (Construction or related)/ Facilities Management/ Advertising/ Communications/ Cultural Studies/ Social Sciences/ Public Relations or related field or equivalent;
  • English Language – Level 5 or Grade C in HKDSE or HKAL; and
  • Chinese Language – Level 5 or Grade C in HKDSE or HKAL; OR
  • Use of Chinese and Use of English – Level 2 in CRE;
  • Have command of written and spoken Chinese and English;
  • At least 3 years’ full-time post-qualification working experience in managing/ coordinating construction-related project or organizing training programmes for students from tertiary institutions and working adults
  • Be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word processing

Responsibilities:

  • To assist on the overall planning and preparation works including but not limited to attending meetings with the project team, arranging site visits to inspect the work site, attending pre-handover and handover site visits and following up on outstanding issues, liaising with architectural consultant, work departments and contractors for the final delivery of user requirements
  • To assist the manager to co-ordinate with the different sections and units to conduct market research and tender exercises for the procurement of furniture and advanced equipment, including but not limited to preparing the documents of the market research and tender exercises, researching on prevailing trade practices in the provision of required goods and services, arranging required briefing sessions and/ or site visits for the potential suppliers, liaising with suppliers on all administrative and logistic arrangements, monitoring the schedules for delivery, installation, testing and commission of these equipment to ensure that the equipment will be ready for use in a timely manner
  • To assist the manger in conducting research on the application of innovative technologies in the operation of performance venues in Hong Kong and other places/ countries to support the operation of the centre, preparing specifications and arranging procurement of the equipment
  • To assist the manager to prepare plans for maintenance. Enhancement, improvement and replacement of the equipment procured to ensure that the provision in the centre is up-to-date and on a par with the international best practices
  • To assist the manager in providing logistic support for the training and internship programmes on stage technologies for artists and current/ future workforce in the industry, arranging the necessary technical/ stage services by liaising with backstage office and potential service providers to facilitate the smooth operation of programmes/ events
  • To perform any other duties assigned by senior officers
